Itinerary

Stop At: Coral Garden, Calis Point, Coron, Busuanga Island Philippines

One of the most visited diving sites in Boracay is the Coral garden dive site also known as the house reef dive site. Coral garden got its name from the hard corals that are forming all over the reef, especially the cabbage corals and the numerous species of soft corals. The Coral garden reef is also accessible, in its shallow part, to the snorkelers who just want to snorkel above the amazing coral garden.

The waters in this area are calm and clear. Coral garden is also a popular fish-feeding area for the people who want to go try scuba-diving.

The Coral garden diving site has almost no currents which makes it perfect for training beginner scuba-divers or just fun dives with your friends and family.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Balinghai Beach, Road-C, Malay, Aklan Province 5608 Philippines

The waters are crystal clear and you have to be careful since there are quite a bit of corals that are sharp. The coral formations are huge and worth admiring with crabs darting in and out of the rocks. There was one single shack selling sweet coconuts and we had the juice and relaxed.

If you go further into the deep waters, it is an excellent place for snorkeling. There is abundance of all kinds of sea corals, urchins, anemones, schools of varied and unique fish and other marine life!

Stop At: Tambisaan Beach, Malay, Aklan Province 5608 Philippines

Tambisaan is the only beach in Boracay that has a large amount of marine life. It’s great for snorkeling. To get to the marine life, walk about one third along the beach and then swim about 25 meters into the bay. The best time to visit is during high season, with little wind.

Stop At: Yapak Beach (Puka Shell Beach), Yapak, Malay, Aklan Province 5608 Philippines

Puka Beach is 800 meters long and fronted by a big cliff with a forest alongside it. At dusk you can see flying foxes (very big bats) flying across the top of the cliff. The sand is coarser than that of White Beach due to the small bits of coral mixed in with it. In the past the beach also used to be lined with puka shells, which is where it got its name from. It’s also worth knowing that the water increases in depth quickly. So if you’re not confident in your swimming abilities I recommend staying close to the shore.

Stop At: Crocodile Island, Malay, Aklan Province Philippines

(visit subject to tide and weather conditions)

Crocodile Island has a teeming reef life in shallow crystal clear water. The maximum diving depth is around 18m deep making it accessible for divers of all level. It is also a great place for Macro Underwater Photography. Here you can spot all the usual reef fishes of the Philippines such as the beautiful Lionfish or maybe even Moray Eels. For those budding photographers out there, Nudibranchs and Sea Snakes can also be found. As a drift dive, you can relax while you check out beautiful coral with Gorgonians and Sea fans on the beautiful walls.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Ilig Iligan Beach, Malay, Aklan Province Philippines

Ilig Iligan is a relatively quiet beach that feels rugged and wild. If you’re a confident swimmer you can also discover a secret beach right next to it, which feels even more rugged and wild. There the nature is completely untouched. The best time to visit is during high season.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: White Beach Path, Malay, Aklan, Philippines

The main attraction of White Beach is of course its beauty but also that you have everything you need there: hotels, restaurants, nightlife, activities, it’s all available right in front of the beach.

It’s a very good place for swimming as well, since the water is usually flat, has no current and becomes deep slowly.During morning and noon times the beach is relatively quiet. These are good times to go out if you like to have the beach more to yourself. In the afternoon more people start to come to the beach and you’ll see locals and tourists alike starting to play sports.
